Robert A. Sexton
Western District Court files at the Fort Smith National Historic Site have been corrected to include my great grandfather, Robert A. Sexton.
He was appointed in November 1885 by Marshal John Carroll and served at
Tahlequah until November 1886. His appointment is documented in the Fort Smith
Elevator and his resignation in the Indian Journal Newspaper.
His files will be included in their next correction upload to the National Park Service database. He also was elected as Town Marshall at Poteau, IT. in 1900.
