T. Preston Warren a retired U. S. deputy marshal died late last summer in Tulsa. The 73 year old Warren was also a former federal court bailiff. He had been ill for several months.
Born in Texarkana, he moved to Tulsa from Oklahoma City in 1941. His combined time as marshal and bailiff totaled more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna.

DEPUTY U. S. MARSHAL DIES AT PRYOR HOME
February 23, 1945—Daily Oklahoman—Pryor—Austin Whittaker, 68, deputy U. S. Marshal and resident of Pryor for the past half century, died at his home after a long Illness.
Whittaker was a peace officer for more than 30 years and at one time was a state special investigator under Governor Haskell’s administration.

November 18, 1957—Garber, OK—Funeral for I. G. “Ike” Wyckoff, will be 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Christian church here. Burial will be in the Marshal cemetery.
Wyckoff an early day cowpuncher, died Saturday in his home in Garber. He was a cowboy for the Bar D ranch and the 101 ranch as a young man. He later served as deputy United States marshal.
He was a charter member of the Garber Oddfellows, the Knights of Pythias and the Masonic lodge. He was also a member of the Cherokee Strip Cow Puncher’s Association, coming to Okalahoma during territorial days.
