James Y. Victor

James Y Victor, 70, a former U. S. Marshal, died early this year at his home in Afton.

            Victor served a temporary term of a few months as marshal in 1928 and later held the post for eight years during the Eisenhower administration.  He father, Grant Victor was a U. S. marshal in Muskogee from 1908 to 1913

            He is survived by his wife, Etta; two sons, James and Sam' two daughter, Mrs. Tony Mobley of Bartlesville and Mrs. Emily Dee Vincent of Shattuck; four brothers; a sister; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
