Charles Isaac Epperson

Mr. Epperson came to Boynton from Ludlow, Missouri with his parents in 19905 and made it his come continuously until his death. In the Baptist revival held during the winter he was converted and united with that church.
Charlie Epperson was an honest man, an industrious man, a devoted son and brother, a true friend. Volumes could tell no more. He was a member of Boynton lodge No. 595 I. O. O. F., Muskogee Encampment and the M. W. A. in which he carried $2,000 insurance.
Six weeks ago Mr. Epperson was appoint city marshal and it was in the performance of his duty that he met his death.
The esteem in which he was held was attested by the fact that every business institution was closed during the funeral hour and the flora offerings were many and beautiful.
The funeral services were held at the family home at 2:30 Saturday afternoon conducted under the auspices Boynton I. O. O f, lodge. the funeral sermon was delivered by Rev. Wiley, pastor of the First Baptist church, after which the remains were taken to Greenhill cemetery Muskogee, for interment.
