RED BUCK

 April 4, 1896—The Daily Times Journal The man Red Buck who was killed by Officers Duckworth , Shannon and others last week, has been positively identified as Buck Weightman  .  He has been one of the boldest criminals that was ever in the territory, having been a boon companion of the Daltons, Bill Doolin , Zip Wyatt  and Tulsa Jack and has been on many a raid with them. He was one of the leaders in the Dover train robbery last year.  It was he and Younger Lewis   and Joe Beckham  who robbed C. E. Noyes in Arapahoe last October.  He had Noyes  fine gold watch on when killed.  George Miller , his partner in the last raid, took the watch off his dead body and hid it in the dugout when they were captured.  Miller  band being hand being shot off, he says he took the watch of with his teeth and buried it in this dugout with his feet.  Weightman was the man taken for Doolin  in the fight with the Texas rangers when Beckman was killed.  It is said there is a reward of $4, 000 for Weightman.
