October 10, 1895—Chickasha Record—Five persons, Lucky Davis, Moama Sully, Sam Simpson, Lewis Davis and Rufus Blask, were sentenced Saturday at Ft. Smith to be hanged Thursday, October 31. They belonged to the Buck gang o outlaws, who operated a reign of terror in the Creek nation during the latter part of July and the first of August. They are charged with several murders and assaults on women.
October 31, 1895— Chickasha Record--Dick Paine a member of the Ryan gang of outlaws, was shot and killed by Deputy United States Marshal Kinnue Friday morning near Charing. There were several embers of the gang but all escaped save Paine.
October 31, 1895— Chickasha Record—John Buck, the father of the leader of the Buck gang, under sentence of death, swears that he will kill all the deputy marshals. He shot twice at one the other night but missed. He was disarmed but not arrested.
